Top 10 ways you can volunteer with Freedom in Creation:

1. Spread the word about FIC and share videos with your family, friends, network, and community.

2. Declare that you are thankful4water with a monthly donation to FIC.

If you, your family, and your friends (50 people) were each to donate one meal a month ($8.50) for a year, the amount raised would be $5,100. This amount could rehabilitate two wells or enable us to drill a new one. In areas of great population density, this effort could serve thousands of people with water and enable them to return home from internally displaced persons camps for the first time in a generation.

3. Facilitate an art exhibition and benefit within your community, school, church, or university.

FIC benefits rely on the creativity and generosity of the communities with whom we work. Anyone can host or facilitate a benefit. Invite artists (musicians, dancers, and visual artists) to perform and/or donate their art to be sold to benefit FIC. Secure a venue with access to video technology where FIC videos can be shown. See if local businesses might donate food, drinks, and/or items for auction. Contact us to see if FIC art and/or speakers are available to represent the organization and compliment the venue.

5. Facilitate a “Global Village Education” relationship with your school, university, or church.

6. Sponsor a well by raising $2,500 for a well rehabilitation and or $5,000 for a new well.

7. Start an FIC high school or university club and walk with us in a spirit of commonalities before differences.

8. Introduce FIC to your business/sorority/fraternity/organization/club as a philanthropy of choice. Propose that FIC benefit from the charitable efforts of your affiliation.

9. Join us in a spirit of creativity and donate your art sales to enrich our art program.

10. Collect laptops (new or used) for FIC to enrich our education in Uganda. Each laptop must be in a case, be wiped, include necessary power chords, and in a well-functioning condition.

GET CREATIVE! EXAMPLE…

Former White House Pastry Chef Lauren Haas decided she wanted to support FIC with her creative gifts. Taking the initiative, Lauren baked second-to-none pastries and donated them to our 2008 benefit and “Freedom In Creation Tour” finale at Bailey’s, Arlington, VA. Needless to say, the pastries drew a crowd.

Artist & Designer Daniel Morgan, who volunteered with FIC in Uganda, was inspired to leverage his creative gifts and interests in skateboarding and surfing for Freedom in Creation. Below is a skate board Daniel designed to sell to benefit FIC.
